What is prayer—and how can it help in everyday life?
Join us for an open, thoughtful discussion on prayer. This gathering is for everyone—from those who have never prayed before, to those who pray regularly and are seeking fresh inspiration and deeper understanding.
Together, we’ll explore prayer as a source of hope, comfort, guidance, and renewal, and share ideas about how prayer can meet us right where we are in our daily lives.
There’s no pressure, no expectations—just a welcoming space to listen, reflect, and participate as you feel comfortable. Come as you are. Bring your questions, your curiosity, or simply an open heart.

Part II: Sunday, April 19 2:30 - 3:30 pm
EFFECTIVE PRAYER:
Finding healing and wholeness in divine Love

This lecture explores practical and transformative prayer, as taught in Christian Science. Through compelling personal stories, Bobby Lewis illustrates how the spiritual laws of divine Love operate — and how prayer brings us into alignment with these laws. Whether you’re feeling lost or struggling with illness, effective prayer can restore clarity, peace and wholeness in every area of life.

Bobby Lewis, CS, is a Christian Science practitioner and lecturer from Buena Vista, Colorado. Bobby is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.

We are located at 15242 Russell Avenue, White Rock, just one block east of Johnston. Our Sunday Services and Sunday School start at 10:30 a.m. Our mid-week testimony meeting held Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. provides inspiration and an opportunity for participants to share what they are learning in Christian Science and to recount practical demonstrations of God’s love. Both the Sunday Services and the Wednesday Testimony Meetings are available via zoom. Click here to join.

Prayer and Healing

  

Feeling threatened by illness, lack or some other problem? No matter where you are, who you’re with, you can always pray to God and expect an answer. You don’t need to be in church or on your knees … you can pray ‘on the go’. Christian Sciences teaches how prayer works and how to pray effectively, and that we can expect these prayers to be answered. Scientific prayer as taught in Christian Science is powerful and effective and brings healing to any situation.
